combing shots into a sequence - using a lot of different shots put together to get the viewer to feel more involved, to show narrative and emotions of characters.
creating pace - combination of different shot lengths both short or long and the speed of camera shots of editing creating different pace showing different emotions for example fast paced editing in an action film making the scene dramatic and shows emotion of the characters creating tension.
